A fire that broke out at a recycling centre, which led to residents being told to keep their doors and windows shut, was accidental.

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service (DWFRS) said it was still unclear what the exact cause of the fire was after it was called to Kennington Road, Poole, at about 12:00 BST on Sunday.

Firefighters and equipment were sent from eight stations and crews used breathing apparatus, mainlines and foam to put out the blaze.

DWFRS said the firefighters spent about three hours bringing the fire under control and that it was out by about 15:10. Crews then stayed longer damping down.
