Pedestrian seriously injured after being hit by car

A man was taken to hospital with potentially life-changing injuries after being struck by a car while walking in Walsall.

West Midlands Police said the man, in his 60s, remains in a serious condition following the incident on Court Way on Friday, shortly after midnight.

The driver of the car, a man in his 20s, remained at the scene and was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage has been asked to contact the force.
