Outdoor paddling pools reopen after two years
BBCOutdoor paddling pools in Warwick and Leamington Spa have finally opened to the public after being closed for two years for repairs.
The pool at St Nicholas Park, was "swamped" with families on Wednesday with many excited that it was finally back in action.
Warwick District Council initially announced the opening of St Nicholas' paddling pool, with news of Victoria Park's planned to follow later this week.
But Victoria Park's paddling pool was reopened shortly after midday.
The facilities were shut in 2024 due to being at the "end" of their operational life. Plans for them to reopen in May 2025 were also pushed back.
Daventry resident Keeley Berrill came to enjoy the park with her grandson Noah for his second birthday.
She said: "It's amazing - we just love all the facilities and get everything done in one day."
Katie Wood and her children Willow, Matilda and Leo said the park reopening was "amazing" and they were happy to see it back open.
