Police renew appeal to find missing woman

Police have renewed an appeal to find a Nuneaton woman who disappeared six months ago.

Katie Love, 48, was last seen on 23 February wearing a long, light-brown coloured puffer jacket, boots and a tracksuit.

Two men, aged 48 and 49, from Nuneaton, were arrested on suspicion of murder following her disappearance and released on bail.

A third man, also aged 49, was released under investigation in connection with the disappearance.

Warwickshire Police said despite "extensive" inquiries by its major crime team, Love remained missing.

Officers have carried out searches, reviewed hours of CCTV, and spoken with her friends and family, who released a plea for her return last month.

Senior investigating officer, Det Insp Gareth Unett said there had been no confirmed proof of life.

He said: "We remain open-minded and truly hope she's found alive and well, however, based on the information we've gathered, we strongly believe she may have come to harm and are now treating her disappearance as suspected murder."

Love is known across Hartshill and Kingsbury but has connections to Skegness too.

Unett continued: "As we continue to try to find her, we remain in close contact with Katie's family and friends, providing updates and support.

"Given the length of time that has passed, it's important to get closure for them.

"If you have information about Katie's disappearance or know where she may be, please tell us. Any information, no matter how small, could prove crucial to our investigation."

Crimestoppers is offering a £1,000 reward for any information that leads to finding Love.
