What can we expect from the weather in the coming days?
"Hot and humid" weather continues across the South West and the Channel Islands.
Jersey and Guernsey both recorded their hottest days on record on Thursday, while temperatures soared above 30C in Devon and Cornwall, prompting a number of schools and businesses to close.
The Met Office has now issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms across the South West from 18:00 BST to 23:59 BST on Thursday, warning "some short term loss of power" and a "small chance of flooding" were possible.
BBC's David Braine said: "It will definitely feel cooler by the time we get to Friday afternoon, as we see a change in the wind direction, and temperatures will start to lower."
