M5 driver four times over limit with dog in car
A man who drove on the M5 at more than four times the legal drink-drive limit with his dog in the car has been banned from driving.
Bryan Househam, 69, was arrested on 13 September after a member of the public saw him veering between the hard shoulder and lane two of the M5 southbound between Stroud and Thornbury.
He was found to have 142 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
Househam was charged and attended court on 8 October where he was disqualified from driving for 23 months and ordered to pay fines of £2,885.
