Watch: Hikers airlifted to safety after flash flooding hits Grand Canyon

Dozens of hikers were airlifted to safety after flash flooding on a Grand Canyon trail on Saturday. About 15 people remain unaccounted for.

Water began to rise at around 14:30 local time (22:30 BST) in Bright Angel Canyon and the Phantom Ranch area, according to the National Park Service.

Hiker Nikki Baggs, 41, told the BBC that the "whole thing was terrifying", and shared a video she took of the floodwaters as park rangers urged her out of the park.
