Bowler 'absolutely buzzing' with Commonwealth gold

Katherine Rednall said she was "absolutely buzzing" having won a gold medal at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

The 30-year-old from Stowmarket, Suffolk, took the victory during the women's bowls singles event against Guernsey's Alison Merrien on Sunday.

After her win, she told the BBC she had done it for her late grandmother and that she had thanked her when things had gone her way.

"I was just pleased to get a medal. The aim was to get out of the group and get a medal, and gold looks good," she said.
