England fans watch DR Congo game on beach screen

Dozens of England football fans watched the first knockout match, against the Democratic Republic of Congo, on a big screen on a beach in Cornwall.

Jamie-Lee Job from The Watering Hole, in Perranporth, said the people who watched the match on Wednesday were "very, very lucky" to watch the game with sand between their toes.

One visitor, who is touring the county as part of his holiday, said he decided to stay in Perranporth after he heard the game was being streamed at the beach.

England face Mexico in the last-16 at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City on Monday at 01:00 BST.
