Man steals bike after swapping front wheel
Police have shared footage of the moment a man stole a bicycle by swapping its front wheel.
Adam Righalto-Apperley was picked up by CCTV cameras leaving a supermarket in the Bretton area of Peterborough on 15 April.
Cambridgeshire Police said the bike theft kickstarted his crime spree, where he shoplifted at six different businesses across the city between 20 April and 11 May.
The 33-year-old, of no fixed address, admitted 20 thefts and 10 counts of breaching a criminal behaviour order. He was sentenced to two years and one month in prison at Cambridge Crown Court on Friday.
