The Oxford Canal between Claydon and Aynho reopened for a week from Monday.
The Oxford Canal through Banbury and north of the town is fed by reservoirs across Oxfordshire, Northamptonshire and Warwickshire.
The closure includes 16 locks through Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire after dry conditions.
