Firefighters tackle spate of blazes

Firefighters tackled a spate of blazes in Lincolnshire on Saturday.

At about 15:20 BST, the county's fire and rescue service said it had "multiple crews" at a large fire involving agricultural buildings in West Road, Pointon, near Bourne.

Earlier, it was called to Kirton Holme, near Boston, to a field fire at about 01:00 BST. A tractor trailer and two other trailers were severely damaged, as was a grass embankment and conifers.

Crews also attended a fire at 10:20 in Billinghay, near Sleaford, which destroyed 14 hectares of crop fields.
