Firefighters spend second night tackling blaze at landfill site
Firefighters have spent a second night tackling a blaze at a landfill site near Peterhead, though the response has been scaled back.
Crews were called to Stoneyhill Quarry near Longhaven village at about 14:15 on Saturday, initially sending six vehicles and two specialist resources.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said four appliances remained at the scene on Monday morning, being assisted by a digger to move waste.
Footage taken from a car driving along a nearby road captured thick smoke billowing out of a building.
Police have said roads in the area have now reopened and the fire is not believed to be suspicious.
There were no reported injuries.
