Seven people injured in three-car crash

Four women and three men have been injured in a three-car crash in Chesterfield.

Derbyshire Police said the collision occurred on the A617 Hasland Bypass at about 12:55 BST on Sunday and involved a Citroen C3, a Vauxhall Insignia and a Volkswagen Polo.

Two 19-year-old women were injured along with two other women, 72 and 39, and three men, 42, 20 and 19. None of the injuries were life-threatening or life-altering, officers said.

A stretch of road was closed while emergency services dealt with the crash but reopened later the same day.
