South-east England has been getting creative in preparation for Remembrance Day.

The displays in Kent and Sussex have been created by craft groups and talented individuals.

Lynn Langland, the former Mayor of Bexhill, East Sussex, came up with the idea of the 'Poppy Car', which will make a stunning backdrop for the town's commemorations.

The car has a Nov 11 number plate and a donation box.

Paul Brooker, who runs the chapel in Smarden, Kent, said the building has a memorial board with the name of every man lost in World War One from the village.

Mr Brooker has also documented people from Smarden who died in World War Two.
