A busy route was closed and multiple train services were cancelled after a lorry hit a bridge.

It happened on the B3108 near Limpley Stoke, Wiltshire, at about 13:30 BST, according to Wiltshire Police, which said its officers were investigating.

The A36 was shut and Great Western Railway (GWR) trains were delayed between Bath Spa and Westbury.

GWR said services returned to normal at about 17:30 BST, and there were no residual delays.
