Twelve crews fight fire at industrial units
ECFRSAbout 60 firefighters have been tackling a blaze affecting industrial units, vehicles and mobile homes.
The fire broke out shortly after 23:00 BST on Thursday in Woolmongers Lane in High Ongar.
At its height, 12 crews were sent, working with "a limited water supply to surround the fire", Essex Fire and Rescue Service said.
Five crews remained at the scene at 08:30 on Friday, working to dampen the area and monitor hotspots.
Station manager Kev Jenner said: "We expect to be at the scene throughout the day and would ask people to avoid the area while we deal with this incident."
ECFRSElsewhere on Thursday evening, about 100 tonnes of domestic waste caught fire at a unit in Clacton Road, Great Holland, at 23:51.
Six crews surrounded the fire and prevented it from spreading to nearby crop fields.
They remained at the scene on Friday morning, using a digger to pull rubbish from the building.
