Suspect to appear in court after man hit with belt
PA MediaAn 18-year-old man has been charged with multiple counts of robbery.
Leicestershire Police was called to Bath Lane in Leicester on 22 November after reports a group of men had entered a property and a man had been attacked with a belt.
Oluwatobiloba Akinrinola, of Bath Lane in Leicester, was arrested on Wednesday and has been charged with nine counts of robbery. He is due to appear at Leicester Magistrates' Court later.
Police said four counts related to Bath Lane and five related to a separate incident in the Harborough district on 21 November.
This comes after Richile Vagnu, 19, of Bowes Road in Southgate, London, appeared before magistrates on Saturday charged with nine counts of robbery and one count of intentional suffocation in relation to the same incidents, police said.
Mr Vagnu was remanded in custody to appear at Leicester Crown Court on 12 January.
A second 19-year-old man who was arrested as part of the investigation was released on bail, the force added.
