Arrest after man stabbed inside shop

A man has been arrested following a serious assault inside a shop in Dewsbury.

The man in his 50s was stabbed at the store on Foundry Street at about 13:50 BST on Friday and taken to hospital with injuries that are not thought to be life threatening.

A 46-year-old man was later arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding with intent and remains in police custody.

West Yorkshire Police said they were also seeking two men and a woman who were reported to have fled the scene, running up Market Street.

A force spokesperson urged any witnesses or anyone with information to contact officers.
