Engineers carrying out repairs to sea wall

Repairs are being carried out on a section of sea wall after a crack appeared in it.

East Devon District Council said the work was taking place on the structure between the RNLI Lifeboat Station and Orcombe Point on Queen's Drive in Exmouth.

It said contractors, weather permitting, would be finished by Friday and the promenade would remain open, but the footpath would be narrower than normal to provide a safe working zone.

"We apologise for any inconvenience and thank residents and visitors for their patience while these essential repairs are carried out," the council said.
