No further action after town centre murder arrests

No further action will be taken against two people who were arrested as part of an investigation into the death of a man.

Emergency services were called after the man, in his 40s, was found unresponsive on Astley Gate in Blackburn town centre in the early hours of Monday.

Lancashire Police said following a post-mortem examination, it had been established there was no third party involvement in the man's death.

A man in his 20s and a woman in her 30s who were both arrested on suspicion of murder have now been released with no further action, the force said.
