Major M25 delays following emergency repairs

Emergency repairs on the M25 on the Kent/Surrey border have led to delays of about an hour during Friday morning's peak period.

National Highways said three lanes were closed on the M25 clockwise between junction five for Sevenoaks and junction six for Godstone due to repairs on a carriageway overnight.

The agency has confirmed the works have been completed and all lanes have been reopened.

At about 09:15 BST travel site Inrix said congestion, which earlier had stretched to junction three for the M20 at Swanley Interchange in Kent, and three miles back on the M26, had been cleared.
