Plans for hotel and apartments on Peel Quayside
Wilson ConsultingA planning application has been submitted to turn a derelict former garage and showroom on Peel's East Quay into a boutique hotel and apartments.
Developer Lanz Limited has revealed their plans for the site, including a new 21-bed hotel, nine apartments, a restaurant, café/bar and gym.
The site is listed on the Isle of Man Government's Unoccupied Urban Sites Register, which identifies locations prioritised for redevelopment.
The developer said the scheme would also fund an upgrade to neighbouring Castle Street Gardens.
Wilson ConsultingThe proposed design is intended to reference East Quay's history as a working port and evoke the warehouses that once lined the harbour.
According to figures provided by the developer, 43% supported the plans, 37% were neutral and 20% opposed them.
