Pair arrested after man stabbed in house attack

Two people have been arrested after a man was stabbed in the back of the leg in Nottingham.

Officers were called to a house in Highbury Road, Bulwell, following reports a man had been attacked inside the property just before 01:00 BST on Wednesday.

The victim, a man in his 40s, was taken to hospital for treatment. Nottinghamshire Police said his condition was "not believed to be life-altering or life-threatening".

A 64-year-old man and a woman, 34, have been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.

Det Ch Insp Claire Gould, from Nottinghamshire Police, said those involved were known to each other and urged anyone with information to come forward.
