Men who were killed in weekend crashes named by police
PSNIThree men who died in separate road collisions in Northern Ireland at the weekend have been named by police.
Emmet Potter died after a single-vehicle road collision in Caledon, County Tyrone on Saturday.
Malek Kerbache, 41, and Mateusz Prokopiuk, 31, were also killed in a collision between a motorcycle and a car in the Upper Ballinderry area in County Antrim on Saturday.
Police Service of Northern Ireland (PSNI) statistics show there have been 29 road fatalities up to 26 April this year.
This is more than twice the number for the same period in 2025 when 14 fatalities were recorded.
Caledon crash
It happened at about 23:00 BST on Saturday on the Derrycourtney Road in Caledon.
A person arrested in connection with the crash remains in custody.
The police, ambulance and fire service attended the crash in Caledon, but Potter was pronounced dead at the scene.
Glenavy Road crash
Kerbache and Prokopiuk were both from the Portadown area and were killed in the collision on the Glenavy Road.
It happened before 18:00 BST and both men died at the scene.
Kerbache was the driver of the white Tesla and Prokopiuk was riding a black Honda motorbike.
A passenger in the Tesla was taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries but has since been discharged, the PSNI said.
Nutts Corner crash
A 16-year-old from County Tipperary died after a two vehicle collision on the Belfast Road, near Nutts Corner before 08:00 BST on Sunday.
It involved a black Volkswagen Golf and a silver Volkswagen Passat.
The driver of the Golf has been arrested on suspicion of a number of motoring offences. They remain in police custody.
The male teenager, who was the passenger in the Passat, died at the scene.
The driver of the Passat sustained minor injuries and two other passengers, , including a 10-year-old, are in hospital.
Police said the child's condition is critical.
Clanabogan road crash
On Sunday Patrick Deery, 61, died at the scene after a single vehicle road traffic collision in Omagh.
It happened before 11:00 BST on the Clanabogan Road and involved a motorcycle.
The PSNI has appealed to anyone with information or footage of any of the road collisions to come forward.
