Jury finds man not guilty of murder after trial

The man was cleared of murder during a trial at Peterborough Crown Court

A 32-year-old man has been cleared of murdering another man who was found dead at a house earlier this year.

Imran Bashir, 50, was found unconscious at Gladstone Street in Millfield, Peterborough in February and died at the scene.

Filippo Femminile, of the Bretton area of the city, had been charged with murder at stood trial at Peterborough Crown Court.

On Wednesday, a jury found him not guilty of murder. Police said another man who was arrested had been released with no further action - and that there would be no further prosecutions in relation to this case.
