A 38-year-old man has been arrested and charged after another man was found dead in Glasgow almost two weeks ago.

The body of David Smith was discovered at about 17:45 on 17 March at a property in Glenraith Square in the city's Craigend area, after concerns were raised.

The 49-year-old's death is being treated as suspicious after a post-mortem examination, and police launched a murder investigation last week.

The 38-year-old man is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday.

Officers said they were continuing to investigate the circumstances around Smith's death.

An online portal has also been set up to encourage members of the public to submit information directly to officers.
