A lorry has demolished a wall between two buildings in Bath city centre, a council has said.

Avon and Somerset Police were called to the incident on James Street West on Monday at about 08:30 BST.

Nobody was injured but a section of the pavement had to be closed for safety reasons when debris fell onto the road, said police.

The road remains open to two-way traffic and the damage is being assessed.
