In Pictures: Competition captures Coventry's history
Historic Coventry TrustA competition for amateur photographers has paid homage to one of Coventry's most historic sites.
Hosted by the Historic Coventry Trust, it encouraged aspiring creatives to capture images of the Grade II-listed Anglican Chapel and London Road Cemetery.
"The competition was split into two categories, with Joy Richings crowned the winner for her photograph of a stone angel surrounded by bluebells.
In the under 18s category, 15-year-old Olivia Doughty's wide shot of the Victorian cemetery, which was designed in 1845 by Joseph Paxton, scooped the prize.
Historic Coventry TrustThe historic and picturesque cemetery is the final resting place of many of the city's Victorian pioneers of transport and sport, including the founders of Arsenal and Coventry City FC.
