Forest Green recorded back-to-back wins in the National League with a dominant 4-0 home victory over Gateshead.

Captain Kyle McAllister opened the scoring just before the break, with Ricardo Rees, Jayden Clarke and substitute Oli Ewing on target in the second half.

Visiting goalkeeper Peter Jameson foiled Rees and Kyle Kelly twice before McAllister deservedly put the home side ahead in the 43rd minute with his third goal of the season.

Goalkeeper Ethan Ross produced a fine save to deny Michael Spellman an equaliser and Rees doubled Forest Green's lead in the 66th minute, with Clarke adding a third three minutes later.

Ewing netted his first goal for the club in stoppage time to leave Gateshead without a win in five league games.
