Di Kaduna State govment don condemn di attack for Naridon village in Kauru local govment wey claim di lives of at least 30 pipo on Monday.

For one statement by di Kaduna State Commissioner for Information, Ahmed Maiyaki, Govnor Uba Sani say e receive di news of di attack "wit deep sorrow", and e don direct security agencies "to intensify operations to apprehend di perpetrators and bring dem to justice".

Govnor Uba also direct di Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency (KADSEMA) to provide immediate relief and humanitarian support to affected families, while e beg residents of di community to "remain calm, vigilant and law-abiding, and to support security agencies with credible information".

Dis reaction dey come more dan 24 hours afta gunmen attack Naridon, Christian community for Southern Kaduna, around 12 midnight for di early hours of Monday, 27 July 2026.

Dem enta from house to house, burning houses, destroying property and shooting pipo, including women and children.

Community members tell BBC News Pidgin say as at dis Tuesday, no govment official, weda from di State or from kauru local govment area don visit dia area to commiserate wit dem.

Fr Mark Bisan na di Parish Priest of St Monica Catholic Church, Ikulu Pari, wey dey service St Kizito outstation Naridon wia di attack hapun, and e describe di attackers as Fulani.

One army checkpoint dey close to di community wia di attack hapun and according to di priest, dem suppose hear di gunshots.

"But even wen di community pipo call dem for phone, dem tok say dem dey come but na until 7am dis morning bifor dem arrive," Fr Bissan tok.

"Dis community bin no get any wahala wit Fulani herdsmen so we no fit tell why di attack hapun. Na quiet community wia di pipo dey conduct dia business in peace."

One family lose about five children for di attack. Di priest tok say dem don deposit 28 bodies for Zango mortuary, but di family of two of di victims don bury dia own pipo.

Fr Bissan tok say e believe dis na targeted attacks against di majorly Christian community.

"Last month, I bury nine of my parishioners (for Ikulupari), and dis one na di third of attacks like dis for our community dis year alone," e tok.

"Afta each attack, we no go hear anytin from di govment, wen di state govment or d local govment come, dem no go tok to us. Di military no go tok to us. Di community go just bury dia dead and kontinue as if notin hapun."

"My parish don dey attacked many times. Dem bin kidnap my predecessor for di parish two years ago and later release am, but dem kill di pesin wey bin dey live wit am.

"Since I resume here, dem don attack di parish at least two times. Na God dey save me say I no dey house, but dem destroy my house and damage plenty tins for di parish."
