Tonight, the Isles will be extensively clear for the most part but Shetland may see patchy cloud by dawn. The mainland will have lengthy clear spells but there is a chance of patchy mist and fog.

Tomorrow, the mainland will be dry with early patches of mist and fog but these will clear to sunshine through the morning. Largely sunny in Orkney but variable amounts of cloud in Shetland.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday
On Saturday, the Isles look to be dull but dry. The mainland will have thick cloud across the north and east but more in the way of sunshine elsewhere. Sunday is set to have lengthy sunny spells and a few patches of cloud. Light showers cannot be ruled out on the Isles overnight. Trending cooler. Monday should be cloudier for a time but the mainland could see sunshine develop.
