    Sinner 5-3 Brooksby*

Jenson Brooksby doesn't appear to be allowing that break to play on his mind as he looks to get this set back on serve.

There's a pump of the fist as he retreats back to the baseline after getting to 30-0.

But Jannik Sinner isn't the kind of player to panic. The Italian sends over a wide serve and it's returned into the net. 30-30. Another couple of points secure the hold.

Brooksby will serve to stay in the set.

Watching Novak Djokovic practise earlier, it was notable how much attention he was placing on his racquets, frequently switching them up.

He decided to change racquets before facing new balls on Arthur Rinderknech’s serve but was barely able to get a racquet to them in that fifth game.

Instead, we see the change in string tension has the desired effect as he continues to hit devastating groundstrokes - particularly off that forehand wing.

The seven-time champion appears in complete control now after taking some time to really put 25th seed Rinderknech in his place.

You do feel that Arthur Rinderknech has to make those types of easy shots, being down one set and one break, if he is going to work his way back into this match.

  4. Game and second set - Mochizukipublished at 15:10 BST

    *Jodar 6-1 6-7 (5-7) 0-0 Mochizuki

Shintaro Mochizuki has levelled his third-round tie with 23rd seed Rafael Jodar on court 18, winning the second-set tie-break 7-5.

The players exchanged four breaks of serve to start the second set and further consecutive breaks in the eighth and ninth games.

Mochizuki, who had earlier lost five consecutive games as he conceded the first set 6-1, converted his second set point, putting away a forehand volley.

Before the French Open, our tennis correspondent Russell Fuller visited Jannik Sinner’s hometown to speak to the people who helped shape a world number one player.

Everyone said the same thing - even as a kid, Sinner was not happy to settle on something being good. He’s constantly looking to improve his game and add that something extra.

It’s been most notable in his serve in recent years. It’s such a weapon when it’s firing and he’s racing through his service games, whereas Jenson Brooksby’s are just going on that point or two longer.

    Rinderknech 5-7 2-3 Djokovic*

    Kyle Edmund
Former British number one on BBC One

Novak Djokovic has really stepped up his forehand quality in this second set. I think it is purely a product of winning the first set. He has settled down now, he is more comfortable and we are seeing less of the slipping.

He seems able to free himself up more, flatten out the shots and go for it. A 9.0 forehand quality score is so hard to compete against for Arthur Rinderknech. He is doing so much damage with his forehand.

  14. Around the courts...published at 15:02 BST

16th seed Iva Jovic and 18th seed Ekaterina Alexandrova are locked in a tight battle on court 12.

American Jovic took the first set 6-3 but Alexandrova has forced a decider, winning the second by the same score.

On court three, eighth seed Daniil Medvedev is serving to stay in the first set against Jan-Lennard Struff. Medvedev led 3-1 but now trails 6-5.

23rd seed Rafael Jodar has just held serve on court 18 to take the second set against Shintaro Mochizuki to a tie-break. Jodar won the first set 6-1.

The third-round tie between Tommy Paul and Hubert Hurkacz on court two has just got under way, with Hurkacz holding serve in the opening game.

    Sinner 2-2 Brooksby*

Jannik Sinner is starting to grow into this match as his cross-court backhand is returned into the net by Jenson Brooksby, handing the Italian a 30-15 lead against serve.

Brooksby is forced into the corner on the next point but digs himself out of trouble to level.

Sinner puts a backhand into the tramlines but he gets to deuce when Brooksby fires long.
