    After the 2026 season, the race in Spa will be in rotation with Barcelona on the F1 calendar, until at least 2032.

    For fans of Spa-Francorchamps, the race will be on the calendar in 2027, 2029, and 2031.

    And the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix will be held in 2028, 2030, and 2032.

    Lando Norris' McLaren has joined the rest of the pack out on the circuit.

    He's set a lap time and put his car up into eighth.

    Meanwhile, Max Verstappen has put his car fastest in this session. 1:47.070 for the Red Bull.

    I've had a little think about what I'd say - I think it has to be forgetting revision notes on the day of my exams, worst thing to happen ever.

    It all worked out but I could not panic cram revision before my 9AM GCSE exam.

    Isack Hadjar is still the fastest driver out on the track, followed by his Red Bull team-mate Max Verstappen. The two Ferraris of Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc are third and fourth. Gabriel Bortoleto's Audi makes up the top five.

    The two Williams and Sergio Perez in the Cadillac have completed the most laps so far in this session. 10 for them.

    Kimi Antonelli is on a fast lap but gets into traffic behind Carlos Sainz.

    "Sainz, what an idiot!," the young driver says but Sainz is quick to apologise and they continue on with their drives.

    Meanwhile, Isack Hadjar has also been on the radio to say his legs are touching his hands. Uh oh, too close to the steering wheel.

    Lando Norris completed another lap and returns to the McLaren garage and lets the team work on his car.

    Oscar Piastri, his team-mate, is eighth at the moment in FP1.

    Isack Hadjar is on the soft tyres and puts his car at the top of the leaderboard, 1:47.778 on the board for him.

    The Audis, Cadillacs and Alpines are on the hard tyres.

    The rest of the pack are on the medium compounds.

    Just Lando Norris still to set a lap time but we've got an update from McLaren, who say they were just doing a swap of the steering wheel. But he's gone out, done an out lap and come straight back in.

    So we'll keep an eye on Norris and McLaren.

    Lando Norris is not in a rush to leave the McLaren garage.

    The reigning world champion is set to have a 10-place grid penalty on Sunday as a result of exceeding the permitted number of engine parts.

    Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton had put in a fast lap and jusmped up to the top of the leaderboard, but not for too long.

    Max Verstappen has arrived in his Red Bull and takes the top spot with a lap time of 1:48.237.

    The four-time world champion won in Spa consecutively between 2021 and 2023.

    McLaren have said they have taken the grid penalty here for Lano Norris because you can overtake here.

    I remember a couple of years ago, during the Max Verstappen dominance era, where he had to take a grid penalty. He started 14th and I think by about lap five, he was up to eighth - and then he went on to win the race.

    It looks like Williams' Alex Albon and McLaren's Lando Norris are the two drivers yet to join the circuit.

    Red Bull's Isack Hadjar has the the fastest lap in the early minutes of the session. It's a 1:48.918 for him.

    He is the only driver on the soft tyres.
