Summer signing Johl Powell scored two late goals – his first for the club – as Yeovil ended a three-match winless run with a comfortable victory over Solihull Moors in the National League.

The 25-year-old, who joined from Southern Premier League side Walton and Hersham, scored the important third goal just four minutes after coming off the bench and only 60 seconds after the visitors had made it 2-1 in the 83rd minute.

Deep into added time he added his second to add to goals from Ryan Jones, in the 15th minute, and Slavi Spasov who, after seven goalless games made it two in two from close range just before the hour.

The visitors set nerves jangling when Matty Carson's corner went in off goalkeeper Josiah Barker with three minutes to go but Powell's late intervention eased the tension.
