Barrow's home National League game against Forest Green Rovers was abandoned in the 14th minute because of a waterlogged pitch.

The game got under way on time at a sodden Holker Street and hosts Barrow quickly took the lead when Isaac Marriott lobbed Rovers goalkeeper Luke McNicholas inside the first minute.

And they could have made it two when Seb Thompson found himself in space, but he fired his shot straight at McNicholas.

But with conditions worsening, an attempted pass from Barrow's Marcel Oakley stopped dead on the pitch due to standing water, allowing Sean Etaluku a clear sight of goal.

His effort flew over but the referee called a halt to proceedings.
