  2. Is it worth taking a four-point hit to have a fit keeper?published at 16:56 GMT 20 March

    FPL Q&A with Holly Shand

    Holly Shand
FPL expert and two-time top 10k finisher

Ben: Hi Holly, I've got Henderson out this week and Roef a doubt, I've used all my transfers making sure I have 10 outfield players. Is it worth me taking a four-point hit to be sure I have a fit keeper?

Holly: No Ben, don’t take a hit for a goalkeeper, especially with it being a short-term move this week. You’ll be well covered with 10 outfield players, try not to overthink it. Goalkeeper points are far too unpredictable.

  3. Any recommendations for a budget keeper?published at 16:54 GMT 20 March

    FPL Q&A with Holly Shand

    Holly Shand
FPL expert and two-time top 10k finisher

Graham: Hi Holly, I need a budget keeper and one from Ekitike, Pedro or Bowen. Any recommendations gratefully received.

Holly: I wouldn’t make a goalkeeper transfer this week, I’d sooner start without one since goalkeeper moves are rarely valuable outside of a Wildcard. Ekitike and Joao Pedro are both excellent picks, I think Joao Pedro’s recent form just about gives him a narrow edge.

  4. Adli to Wilson and play 10 or O'Reilly to Hall and play 11?published at 16:53 GMT 20 March

    FPL Q&A with Holly Shand

    Holly Shand
FPL expert and two-time top 10k finisher

Will: I took a punt a while back on Adli from Bournemouth. Hasn't worked out but he's currently starting in my team for this week, not ideal. I have O'Reilly too. Would you go Adli to Wilson and play 10, or go O'Reilly to Hall to play 11?

Holly: With Adli now looking to have lost his place, a transfer out for Wilson will leave your team in a better place for the long term. O’Reilly is a player you’d likely be buying back in a couple of weeks' time when Manchester City inevitably have a double gameweek.

  5. Casemiro or Ouattara to replace Dewsbury-Hall?published at 16:50 GMT 20 March

    FPL Q&A with Holly Shand

    Holly Shand
FPL expert and two-time top 10k finisher

Archie:I'm transferring out Dewsbury-Hall but am unsure if I should go for Casemiro or Dango Ouattara. I already have Van De Berg and Thiago in my team from Brentford, and Fernandes from United.

Holly: I’m assuming you already own Harry Wilson at this price point? Casemiro and Dango are both very good picks, but given you already have two Brentford players, I’d maybe lean towards Casemiro. I’d throw Nottingham Forest’s Elliot Anderson into the mix too!

  6. Why you want to ‘jump on’ Gordonpublished at 16:47 GMT 20 March

    Anthony GordonImage source, Getty Images

Anthony Gordon is on Newcastle penalty duty with Bruno Guimaraes out injured and will be looking to score for the third league game in a row.

It's fair to say Gordon has underperformed this season - his expected goals (xG) is 8.12 yet he has only scored five.

Players tend to outperform their xG - Bryan Mbeumo, for example, has a similar xG (7.85) from almost similar game time but has scored nine times.

Gordon's 13 big chances is bettered by only four midfielders, one being Mbeumo, so he should have returned more points.

And he's at the start of a potentially golden run of form - 18 points in two games - that you want to jump on.

  7. Best captaincy option this week?published at 16:44 GMT 20 March

    FPL Q&A with Holly Shand

    Holly Shand
FPL expert and two-time top 10k finisher

Phil: Who would you say the best captaincy option this week? Bruno Fernandes gets most of his points at home and Bournemouth have only conceded once in their last four matches. So I'm thinking Harry Wilson or Joao Pedro.

Holly: I’ll be honest, Bournemouth’s current defensive record is my only reservation for not giving Bruno Fernandes the armband this week. However, they haven’t faced a side of a similar calibre to Manchester United in this period. Harry Wilson and Joao Pedro are very good alternatives, if you don’t fancy Bruno!

  8. Is it worth using Triple Captain on Wilson?published at 16:42 GMT 20 March

    FPL Q&A with Holly Shand

    Holly Shand
FPL expert and two-time top 10k finisher

Mike: I have all my chips remaining, think it may be worth a punt on using Triple Captain on Harry Wilson?

Holly: With the knowledge that we are likely to have at least two more double gameweeks this season, I wouldn’t be using my Triple Captain chip this weekend and feel that it’s best used on a premium player. However, Harry Wilson is a very good captain pick aside from that. Good luck!

  9. Is Barkley at Villa a steal?published at 16:39 GMT 20 March

    FPL Q&A with Holly Shand

    Holly Shand
FPL expert and two-time top 10k finisher

Ade: Hi Holly, is Ross Barkley at Aston Villa a good punt at only 4.8 and scheduled for gw34 or is he too much of a minutes risk?

Holly: I’d say that Barkley is too much of a minutes risk, given that he has only just returned from injury. Aston Villa’s continued involvement in the Europa League may hamper their season run-in. It is worth noting though that Barkley wasn’t named in their Europa League list, and so will likely be a consistent feature in the Premier League, if he can stay fit of course.

  10. Is it worth taking a -4 hit to get to 10 players this week?published at 16:36 GMT 20 March

    FPL Q&A with Holly Shand

    Holly Shand
FPL expert and two-time top 10k finisher

Tim: Holly, due to injuries I can only get eight players out and no keeper. Is it worth taking a -4 hit to get to 10 players this week as I could bring in players with a favourable run starting this week?

Holly: A -4 is justifiable if it’s a player you plan to hold long term, and especially if you are without the Wildcard chip. It is possible to back quality over quantity too, ensuring you cover the highly-owned players who do have a fixture this week: Joao Pedro, Bruno Fernandes, Virgil van Dijk, Igor Thiago and Hugo Ekitike.

  11. Anthony Gordon or Harry Wilson?published at 16:32 GMT 20 March

    FPL Q&A with Holly Shand

    Holly Shand
FPL expert and two-time top 10k finisher

Alan: Who to bring in for the possibly injured Enzo Le Fee with one free transfer - Anthony Gordon or Harry Wilson?

Holly: Gordon vs Wilson is a conundrum facing lots of fantasy managers right now, especially with Gordon playing as the number nine for Newcastle United and on penalties. However, I’d still side with Wilson given his ownership and consistent output this season, with his opponents Burnley being the worst defence in the Premier League this season.

  12. Captain Bruno - BBC Sport’s 'must-have FPL player'published at 16:29 GMT 20 March

Ten games since returning from injury, five double-digit hauls, 11 returns...Bruno Fernandes is a must-have FPL player.

  13. Thoughts on Harry Wilson as captain?published at 16:27 GMT 20 March

    Harry WilsonImage source, Getty Images

Zack: Thoughts on Harry Wilson as captain this week?

Holly: I believe Harry Wilson is a solid captain pick this week, but Bruno Fernandes is superior given his more diverse routes to points. He’s across all set-pieces, including penalties, and is on an unbelievable run of form, with just two blanks in the last 10 gameweeks.

  14. Thiago as a lone strikerpublished at 16:24 GMT 20 March

    FPL Q&A with Holly Shand

    Thomas Woods
BBC Sport FPL writer, best finish 9,100th

    Igor ThiagoImage source, Getty Images

Monday night's draw with Wolves showed why Igor Thiago is such a great FPL asset.

He only touched the ball 28 times, the lowest total of all Brentford's starters, but had three shots - all in the box, all big chances - and scored once.

  15. Best replacement for Haaland this week?published at 16:23 GMT 20 March

    FPL Q&A with Holly Shand

    Holly Shand
FPL expert and two-time top 10k finisher

G Flo: Hi Holly. Best replacement for Haaland this w/e? Already have Pedro and Ekitike. A lot of options. Thiago, Bowen, Richarlison, Jiminez, Sesko etc, can’t decide! Thanks

Holly: I’d say Thiago is the best pick here, especially going off his output this season. He’s only three goals behind Erling Haaland in the race for the Golden Boot, plus he has two goals in the last four gameweeks. His ownership is also incredibly high, he’s a different level to your other suggestions!

  18. Have we got a clearer idea when the first double gameweek is?published at 16:13 GMT 20 March

    FPL Q&A with Holly Shand

    Holly Shand
FPL expert and two-time top 10k finisher

Paul: Have we got a clearer idea when the first double gameweek is?

Holly: Unfortunately we are still in the dark regarding what the double gameweeks will look like. We know Manchester City’s fixture with Crystal Palace needs to be rescheduled from this weekend. The landscape will become clearer after the FA Cup quarter-finals immediately after this international break, which crucially conclude before the Gameweek 32 deadline. We expect some double gameweek fixtures to fit into the midweek of Gameweek 33, with further blanks in Gameweek 34 due to the FA Cup semi-finals.

  19. Do I sell Haaland to give me more money for transfers?published at 16:10 GMT 20 March

    Erling HaalandImage source, Getty Images

Macca: I can use my transfers this week to keep my chips for the next few weeks - do I sell Haaland to give me more money for transfers? Will probably buy him back in the next few weeks.

Holly: It is hard to justify a sale of Erling Haaland, especially with the knowledge you will buy him back in a few weeks and likely at a higher price point. The motivator to sell would be to use the funds elsewhere, to afford Hugo Ekitike or to shift funds into midfield and buy Cole Palmer. Personally, I’ll be holding Haaland on my bench this week, and using free transfers to swap other players in different positions instead.

  20. Gordon or Garner? Or both?published at 16:08 GMT 20 March

    FPL Q&A with Holly Shand

    Holly Shand
FPL expert and two-time top 10k finisher

Lynne: Gordon or Garner? Or both?

Holly: Gordon over Garner every time. Form and fixtures point to Newcastle being the better side to invest in right now. If budget is a factor, I’d prefer the consistency of Elliot Anderson around this price point over Garner.
