That is a wrap for the National Football League as Donegal claim the Mícheál Ó Muircheartaigh Cup.

Jim McGuinness' men were in sparkling form today and they will hope to take that into the Ulster Championship, which begins in two weeks Armagh hosting Tyrone.

Kerry will be disappointed today, but they will surely bounce back and who knows, we could see another instalment of Donegal v Kerry before the year is out.

But for now, we'll bid you goodbye and take a breather before we hit the Athletic Grounds in a fortnight.

Enjoy the rest of the your Sunday!

    FT: Kerry 2-10 Donegal 3-20

Man of the match Michael Langan, speaking to TG4:

"We're delighted with the performance. It was 2007 since Donegal last won [the league].

"It was a great performance as we had a very good second half that saw us through."

Making up for last year's All-Ireland defeat by Kerry: "We probably had the fire in the belly after that All-Ireland performance.

"We're happy with the league in general. A lot of players got a lot of minutes and that's what it is about.

"We came up here and won the final, so we'll look forward to the Down game in the championship.

"Kerry have a lot of top-quality players and it was about trying to limit their impact and that went a long way to winning the game.

"We'll not read too much into it as our focus now is that Down game."

A great day for Donegal who secure silverware for 2026.

Of course, their eyes will be on the bigger prize later this year but after their All-Ireland final disappointment in 2025, they won't turn their noses up to a good win over Kerry in a national final.

As for the Kingdom, it was a bit of a nightmare today but they won't be hitting the panic button with some of their established names still to come back in.

Yes, there is the trend under Jack O'Connor where a league title was a prelude to Sam Maguire glory, but it would take a brave person to rule them out for the All-Ireland this year.

Michael Langan is named man-of-the-match and that seems an obvious choice. With Donegal slow to start, Langan grabbed the game by the scruff early with a couple of two-pointers that set the tone.
