Ryan Strain finished the game with a goal and assist for Falkirk
Ryan Strain scored his first goal for the club as Falkirk ended a disappointing Premier Sports Cup campaign with a comfortable victory at home to Stranraer.
The former St Mirren and Dundee United full-back fired in a powerful shot just after the half hour, meeting a low cross from Leon McCann.
Strain then crossed for Liam Henderson to crash in at the back post before half time.
John McGlynn's side had been eliminated before kick-off, having lost at home to Group H winners Ayr United and being held to a draw away to Alloa Athletic.
Ben Parkinson finished off a neat move from close range for the hosts' third goal, while Ethan Ross crashed a free-kick against the crossbar.
There was a debut from the bench for Aodhan Doherty, signed on loan from Blackburn Rovers earlier in the day, and the winger set up a good chance for Ross MacIver, who could only shoot wide.
