How do you solve a problem like Haaland? Obvious answer - Big Dan Burn! 1 goal and 3 assists from Haaland in the 8 games he's been up against BDB. What he lacks in pace he more than makes up in passion.

    Eloise

How do you solve a problem like Haaland? I'll say it again. Put Dan Burn on. Haaland has only scored once in 8 meetings with Burn marking him!

  3. Tuchel's big decisionspublished at 21:08 BST

    Norway v England (22:00 BST)

    Alex Howell
BBC Sport England reporter at Miami Stadium

Thomas Tuchel is renowned for making the big decisions that pay-off in knockout games and England supporters will certainly be hoping that is the case today.

The England manager has made some important calls in the Three Lions defence.

The back four has been a weak area for England during this tournament and it has not been helped by the issues at right back.

Reece James is first choice but has had a hamstring injury which has meant that Djed Spence, Jarell Quansah, Ezri Konsa and Declan Rice have all featured there.

Today Tuchel has opted for Konsa from the start as he looks to keep out Norway striker Erling Haaland.

Most sides that do well in major tournaments have a settled back four and Tuchel will hope he can trust the one he has selected today to get England to the last four.

England's players are in the building!

A roar goes up inside Miami Stadium as Harry Kane leads the Three Lions out to inspect the playing surface.

Kane has 14 goals in 16 World Cup games - with six of those coming at this tournament.

Will he overtake Lionel Messi (8), Kylian Mbappe (8) and Erling Haaland (7) in the race for the Golden Boot?

  6. 'Haaland will have a big say'published at 21:02 BST

    Norway v England (22:00 BST)

    Chris Sutton
    Former England forward

England's 3-2 win over Mexico was probably the game of the tournament so far.

This will be a different kind of test for Thomas Tuchel's side, but I think it will be just as close.

Orjan Nyland made some great saves to help Norway get past Brazil, but I've seen quite a lot of them and think they are a good side.

Everyone knows about their star quality in Martin Odegaard and Erling Haaland and, after shooting down Brazil, I am sure Haaland will have a big say in what happens in this game as well.

There are going to be more goals in this game and it would not surprise me if Haaland got a couple of them.

England have not controlled games the way I think people expected them to. They have been a team of moments at this World Cup, in that they have produced some moments of quality at the right times to get through.

At the same time, though, I don't see Norway's defence keeping Harry Kane and Jude Bellingham quiet.

If the game opens up, then England won't mind that one bit. I think there is even more to come from their front players, starting here.

    Sutton's prediction: 2-3

    Norway v England (22:00 BST)

    Alan Shearer
Former England striker on BBC Radio 5 Live at Miami Stadium

    On the Golden Boot race...

That is one of the big things that will be on Harry Kane and Erling Haaland's mind. That is how centre forwards think - they're all selfish. They will be desperate to score and desperate for the other one not to score.

  9. Postpublished at 20:56 BST

    Norway v England (22:00 BST)

So many familiar faces tonight for these players - Erling Haaland knows England defenders Nico O'Reilly, Marc Guehi and John Stones very well from Manchester City.

And it's a friendly face for the Norway striker in midfield, too, with former Borussia Dortmund team-mate Jude Bellingham.

They'll be hitting pause on that bromance tonight.

Can you add a "both please" option for that Kane v Haaland question? I just can't decide. They're both absolutely phenomenal!

    Nathan, Manchester

Haaland scores world cup goals at a faster rate than Kane. At a significantly higher rate. So if we want to play the odds, which we should if we like winning football matches. It's Haaland over Kane.

How do England stop Erling Haaland?

Well, Three Lions fans Tom, Max and Toby - pictured above in Miami - think England's defence could be in a for a busy time over the next few hours.

"Gabriel is one of the best centre-backs in the world and Haaland still got the better of him when he scored twice against Brazil," Max tells me about Leeds-born Haaland.

"His finishing, he's fast, he's powerful. He also knows when to put the effort it."

England are looking to reach the World Cup semi-final for only the fourth time.

"It feels different this time," says Tom.

"However, if we get past Norway I suspect we'll play Argentina in the semi-final and they have the best player of all-time. Yes, Argentina a bit suspect in defence - but so are we."

  12. 'Haaland knows the cauldron that England players can live in'published at 20:50 BST

    Norway v England (22:00 BST)

    Leon Osman
Former England midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

Erling Haaland knows the cauldron that the England players can live in. He has basically come out and called for it.

That is showing exactly his knowledge of the game and his personality in terms of being playful, but also intelligent to get slight advantages.

Norway have enjoyed being the underdogs, they have enjoyed going into each game and feeling that way.

Barring that game against France where they played half a team, they're on an incredible run.

  13. How do you solve a problem like Haaland?published at 20:48 BST

    Norway v England (22:00 BST)

The big talking point ahead of this one is, of course, Erling Haaland.

A familiar face to many in this England team. It's almost got an air of the Premier League about it.

Haaland has scored seven goals in five games at the World Cup so far having also bagged 16 goals across eight matches in a dominant qualifying campaign.

The thing is, he's also incredibly likable isn't it? It's been enjoyable watching Haaland and this Norway side do so well at this tournament.

Both Harry Kane and Erling Haaland come into this one in sizzling hot form - England skipper Kane has scored six goals in five games, while Haaland has netted seven in four.
