Tottenham midfielder went around shaking hands with each Sydney FC players but it looked as if he hadn't realised that a draw means penalties.

It will now be on a very young Spurs team to try to beat their hosts from the spot with Martin Dubravka in goal.

That's that. Spurs have had enough chances to win the game but they have lacked the end product to see it over the line.

We will go to penalties. Woo.

Luca Williams-Barnett, again, tries his luck but it's an ambitious shot from range and his effort sails way off target.

It's clear we need a more ruthless striker. It's the one thing that is going to hold us back this season.

The ball to the back post has a bit too much on it for anyone to get a shot on target.

Luca Williams-Barnett does not fancy penalties.

He bursts forward again, chopping round a couple of defenders and digging a shot out but he can't get it on target. Corner.

More brilliant work from Andy Robertson.

I still think Robertson was one of the most shrewd signings Spurs have done this summer. Feels as though people didn't rate him nearly as highly as they should have.

People worry too soon. It's pre-season, yes it's nice to win but get minutes in the legs and stay injury free. Kinsky, Van de Ven, Van Hecke, Maddison, Kudus, Fernandes plus loads more to come back in - will be a positive season!

Aside from new signings Andy Robertson and Sandro Tonali, this is a really young Spurs side we're seeing.

Andy Robertson tees up Yang Min-hyeok again but his header is over the bar.

A direct pass into the box from Sandro Tonali but the Spurs players get in a bit of a tangle.

  20. CLOSE!published at 69 mins

    Tottenham 1-1 Sydney FC

Oh no. That is a huge miss.

Spurs get forward at pace and Andy Robertson whips across one of those classic passes that you just expect someone to get on the end of and Yang Min-hyeok can't find the net, poking wide.
