Caernarfon won the Welsh Cup at Rodney Parade in April
Caernarfon Town were given a harsh lesson as they fell to a 5-0 defeat by Estonian side Levadia Tallinn in the Uefa Conference League first qualifying round first leg.
It was a disappointing loss for the crowd of more than 1,200 who were present for the first game at The Oval in over a year.
Caernarfon's home ground has undergone major work to allow it to host European games for the first time.
Richard Davies' side secured a place in Europe for the second time in three seasons when they beat Flint Town United 3-0 in the Welsh Cup final in April.

Levadia, who finished second in their league last season, started brightly but it was the home side that created the first chance when striker Zack Clarke saw his effort fly past the far post after nine minutes.
But it was the visitors who opened the scoring when captain Rasmus Peetson headed home unmarked from a tight angle after 15 minutes.
Levadia, who have lost only once in the league in 18 games, nearly doubled their lead 10 minutes before half time, Mark Roosnupp's shot from outside the penalty area going just over the bar.
Caernarfon had spells of pressure in the first half but the visitors went 2-0 up five minutes before the break when Brazilian Joao Pedro rifled home a low left-footed shot past Connor Roberts.
Roosnupp added the third from inside the penalty area in stoppage time.
Things got worse for the hosts three minutes into the second half when Mihkel Ainsalu capitalised on a through ball to make it 4-0.
The home side were then reduced to 10 men when defender Ben Nash, making his Caernarfon debut, was shown a straight red card after 63 minutes.
The summer signing from Connah's Quay fouled Bubacarr Tambedou in the penalty area but Maksimilian Skvortsov blazed the resulting spot kick over the bar.
Levadia made the most of their advantage and substitute Enock Otoo scored his side's fifth goal of the evening with his first touch on 78 minutes.
Caernarfon face a daunting second leg in Tallinn next Thursday.
