    Norway 3-1 Senegal

He was caught, but not deliberate as far as I'm concerned.

It was obvious that they were going to collide.

  2. Postpublished at 75 mins

    Norway 3-1 Senegal

Some nice moves from Ibrahim Mbaye on the Senegal right before he crossed for Ismaila Sarr, who can't get a volley away, and then there's a coming together in the box with Idrissa Gueye and David Moller Wolfe clashing under a looping ball, but it's just a goal kick.

  3. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 72 mins

    Norway 3-1 Senegal

Antonio Nusa's night is done. A quiet one by his flashy standards.

Andeas Schjelderup is on for him,

Kalidou Koulibaly is also coming off for Senegal after a bit of a shocker, frankly.

Pape Matar Sarr of Tottenham is on in midfield. Senegal have to change something with under 20 minutes remaining.

I am sorry but Senegal defence is embarrassing, they have no answer to Norway counterattack.

People said this was Haaland's worst year, quickly proved them wrong.

    Norway 3-1 Senegal

Hydration break time. Greeted by boos from the New York New Jersey stands.

There's a rain storm on the radar and this three-minute interlude might quickly feel a little silly if we see the kind of downpour we witnessed in Philadelphia earlier this evening...

  7. Postpublished at 68 mins

    Norway 3-1 Senegal

Norway break again and just for a moment have four on two.

Martin Odegaard and Alexander Sorloth combine well but they can't get the ball left to Erling Haaland who has 20-yards of space.

  8. Postpublished at 66 mins

    Norway 3-1 Senegal

Senegal back on the front foot, but once again their delivery from a corner is over-hit. Becoming a theme.

Ismaila Sarr tries to grab his second to halve the deficit but his low effort is straight at Orjan Nyland.

  9. Postpublished at 65 mins

    Norway 3-1 Senegal

Erling Haaland is just the sixth player to score multiple goals in each of his first two World Cup appearances and just the second in the past 50 years.

    The other?

    Harry Kane in 2018.

Are we seeing the greatest race for the golden boot of all time? Another 2 for Haaland, Mbappe and Messi today alone.

    Will, Woking

Have to say, Will, I think we are. The expanded format has made things very interesting in that regard.

We have a moment to catch our breath as Edouard Mendy is getting some lengthy treatment after that goal.

  14. 'A man in form'published at 02:19 BST

    Norway 3-1 Senegal

    Efan Ekoku
Former Nigeria striker on BBC Sports Extra

The technique was there from Haaland. It's almost an instinctive reaction. That's a great goal. Haaland gets his foot over the head of Mendy who almost gets his fingertips to it. It's a great finish.

Instinctive actions of a striker, a man in form.

    Erling Haaland

    Or maybe it is...

Senegal architects of their own downfall again as they twice fail to clear their lines in the box before Patrick berg clips into the middle from the left of the box for Erling Haaland to steer a volley high into the net.

    Frantic stuff.

Messi, Mbappe, Haaland have now scored two each tonight.... Harry Kane plays tonight, by the by...

    Norway 2-1 Senegal

This is by no means over...

Lamine Camera is teed-up on the edge of the box but leans back a bit to send his effort over Orjan Nyland's bar.

Ibrahim Mbaye has come on for Senegal, replaying Pape Gueye while Ismael Jakobs is on for El Hadji Malick Diouf.

Mbaye is trying to become the first teenager in World Cup history to score on his first two appearances.

  17. 'They're back in the game'published at 02:14 BST

    Norway 2-1 Senegal

    Efan Ekoku

He just manages to scoop the ball over the goalkeeper. A great finish. Nice and brave on the six yard box. And they're back into the game.

  18. goal

    Ismaila Sarr

    Game on?

Really good response as Ismaila Sarr shows brilliant strength to latch onto a flick from Sadio Mane in the box, hold off David Moller Wolfe and stretch to slam home into the roof of the net via a flick off keeper Orjan Nyland.

  19. 'You can't blame the goalkeeper for that one'published at 02:11 BST

    Norway 2-0 Senegal

    Efan Ekoku
Former Nigeria striker on BBC Sports Extra

Once Haaland got the opportunity to get into space it was just waiting for the right pass. You can't blame the goalkeeper for this one, fantastic finish.

Haaland will get one or two chances per game and you know he's going to score at least one.

  20. goal

GOAL: Norway 2-0 Senegalpublished at 48 mins

    Erling Haaland

    Devastating.

Senegal are on the attack in the Norway half but Martin Odegaard pounces on a loose pass and drives forward with players bombing on ether side of him.

Norway have four on two and Odegaard threads it left to Erling Haaland who waits for it to sneak past the sliding Kalidou Koulibaly before slamming a first-time shot past Edouard Mendy and into the top corner.

As slick a break as you'll see. Haaland has been watching Messi and Mbappe. That's 58 in 52 Norway games for him.
