Swindon Town have signed defender James Debayo on a season-long loan deal from Premier League side Hull City.

The 20-year-old defender came through the youth ranks at Leeds United, making two appearances for their first team during the 2024-2025 season.

After leaving Leeds in the summer of 2025, Debayo signed for Hull in January playing for their under-21s side and featuring in two first-team matchday squads.

"I'm just grateful to the manager (Ian Holloway) for bringing me in, and hopefully I can repay his trust," Debayo told Swindon's website., external

"I'm really excited to get my first taste of men's football, and I just want to kick on from here and hopefully put in some good performances."

He becomes the Robins' fourth summer signing after deals for midfielder Matty Virtue, centre-back Stephan Negru, and fellow defender Mitch Clark.
