Swindon Town have signed defender Mitch Clark on a one-year deal following his exit from Port Vale at the end of last season.

The 27-year-old made 114 appearances for the Valiants across four spells, including 16 last season in all competitions before spending the second part of the campaign on loan at Fleetwood Town.

Clark becomes Swindon's first signing of the summer and his deal includes the option of a further 12 months.

He was part of the Port Vale side that won promotion to League One in 2024-25 and said he hoped to bring that experience to the Robins.

"I'm an older player compared to some people nowadays and the fact that I experienced a promotion two years ago with Port Vale, I'm hoping to experience that again," he said.

Clark began his career in Aston Villa's academy has also been on the books at Leicester City and spent two seasons with Accrington Stanley.
