Spireites sign Simpson as McFadzean extends deal

Chesterfield have signed former Leyton Orient defender Jack Simpson on a two-year deal, while fellow centre-back Kyle McFadzean has signed a new one-year contract.

Simpson, 29, made 41 appearances in all competitions for the O's last season.

McFadzean, 39, whose previous contract expired on Tuesday, has made 45 appearances for the Spirietes since joining in January 2025.

"Over the last 18 months I've really settled into the club and I love working under the gaffer," he told the club website., external

"Having reached the play-offs in successive seasons, we know the potential is there to go one step further and get this club back into League One."
