Smriti Mandhana will be disappointed that she hasn't become the first woman to feature on the Test batting honours board at Lord's.

    Thanks Elizabeth.

Unfortunately, magic-wise, I'm less of a Paul Daniels or David Blaine and more of a surly children's entertainer who causes a scene when he pulls a dead dove out of his pocket at a seven-year-old's birthday party.

Wickets are looking unlikely, is what I'm saying.

India have extended their overnight lead by 96 runs and Yastika Bhatia is closing in on a maiden international century.

    England need wickets.

Let's see if Mike Peter can conjure some up. He'll take you through the afternoon session.

  6. Lunch - Ind 250-4published at 67 overs

    Bhatia 91 (139), Sharma 10 (32)

Yastika Bhatia and Deepti Sharma exchange mid-over singles. Bhatia runs another one off the final ball of the session.

She'll spend the lunch interval in the nervous nineties.

India are 250-4, leading by 365 runs.

  7. Ind 247-4published at 66 overs

Yastika Bhatia tries to wallop Sophie Ecclestone into the stands, undercooks it, and is lucky to see it drop out of reach of substitute fielder Emma Lamb who was tracking back from mid-on.

She'll be on strike for the next over, unbeaten on 89 (134), but barring absolute fireworks, she'll have to wait until after lunch to reach three figures.

This stems from a quite ridiculous decision by England to bowl first!! A near impossible task to save this Test match!

That was sort of goalkeeper style.

Mady Villiers is capable of some freakish things.

  10. Ind 244-4published at 65 overs

How many lives does Yastika Bhatia have?

She pounds the final ball of the over back down the track and bowler Mady Villiers, who was moving to the right in her follow through, darts left but can only parry the catch with her left hand. Harsh to call that a drop.

    Three singles added.

  11. Ind 241-4published at 64 overs

The replacement box of balls comes out. Looks like Tammy Beaumont's helmet did a bit of damage.

One single added to India's tally.

Into the final 10 minutes before lunch.

  12. Ind 241-4published at 63.4 overs

Tammy Beaumont, under the helmet at short leg, stops a Deepti Sharma sweep with her grille. Amy Jones dashes from behind the stumps to retrieve the ball with Deepti Sharma eyeing a single.

Bhatia is absolutely batting away. She is so elegant.

  14. Ind 240-4published at 63 overs

Mady Villiers enters the attack. Her second ball is pounded down the ground for four by Yastika Bhatia. She's into the 80s.

Bhatia is clearly in the mood to attack Villiers, dancing down to her next delivery but only picking out mid-on.

    A single completes the over.

I would love for Lauren Filer to bowl with the odd bouncer but she is just not consistent enough. Her job at the minute, and what she can control, is just banging it in.

  17. Ind 233-4published at 61 overs

Ooooh, another heart in mouth moment for Yastika Bhatia. A mis-timed heave - a big top edge - goes aerially towards the square boundary but it drops short of Issy Wong. Could the fielder have shown a little more urgency?

Bhatia comes through for a single - one of three in the over - and finishes it with a boundary, thwacking Lauren Filer through the covers and beating a tumbling Alice Capsey.

  18. Ind 226-4published at 60 overs

Sophie Ecclestone is keeping things tight at the other end. Two singles.

She has 2-78 from her 21 overs.

Everybody banging on about a potential fairy tale ending for Heather Knight. How about another double century for Tammy Beaumont.

  20. Ind 224-4published at 59 overs

Yastika Bhatia's eyes light up as Lauren Filer sends down a full delivery. bhatia pulls hard and although Issy Wong puts in a full-blooded dive, she is left spread-eagled on the floor as the ball beats her to the rope.

There's also a couple of singles and wide. Bhatia is into the 70s.
