Gunter leaves Wales U18s role to focus on Oxford

Chris Gunter has stepped down from his role as Wales Under-18s head coach to concentrate on his full-time role with Oxford United.

Gunter was appointed assistant to head coach and former Wales team-mate Aaron Ramsey in July.

The 37-year-old led had Wales' Under-19 side at the European Championships earlier in the summer.

Former Wales, Swansea City and Wrexham defender Neil Taylor will take charge of Wales Under-18s following Gunter's announcement.

Oxford assistant coach Tom Hutton, who is also part of Wales' backroom team at age grade levels, will also remain with the League One club during the international window.
