RoboCup 2026: Why are robots playing football in Germany?

The RoboCup has taken place in Germany this year.

Humanoid robots played football against each other to test their skills and agility.

But it's not just about sport, as BBC reporter Andrew Rogers has been finding out.

He spoke to robotics expert Dr Maximilian Gießler about why this competition is held.
