Carol Ballenger's photograph of feathers on Dartmoor

Landscape photographs by Carol Ballenger will be on exhibition as part of Dartmoor National Park's 50th Anniversary celebrations.

In her photographs Carole explores the natural world of the moors through the seasons with images of standing stones, rock formations and running water.

Time to reflect on Dartmoor

Ice crystals on a fern leaf, or cloud formations reflected on the surface of rippling water, each photograph shows her response to the streams, air, wood and vegetation on the moors.

A native of Devon, Carole lived in America as a childand that's where she developed her affinity with landscape and nature.

A member of the Royal Photographic Society and professional musician she has a love of live performance and likes to combine music and poetry with her images.

Carole has published a book of her photographs also called Stone Universe, which also features verses by John Powls.
